Simple question:
Can I use a Pioneer SC-LX71 amplifier to power the speakers (satellites, im not sure if you'd be able to do the sub since its got an inbuilt amplifier, not sure whether you can just hook it up as a standard sub) from the Logitech Z-5500D system?

Cheers,

Michael

my guess would be that you'd overload the speakers and create a lot of distortion.

But in theory I think it would work because it's just like RCA cables going to the speakers, and there's RCA connections in the back of the amp. I'd just as well say it'd be better to get a set of nice floor standing speakers.

And you couldn't run the sub, but you can switch the center and sub channels in logitech's software so that would do that, granted it wouldn't sound as good as a sub, but it's a start.

No because pc speakers suck are are not made to handle the amount of wattage coming from a stand alone reciever.

Thats like trying to run a 800hp engine on a 90hp honda civic tranny.
