did you ever consider hosting a site yourself?

I got a nice little linux box with a dual cpu setup (overkill) and it runs great.... I have 4.6gb of dedicated storage space, and unlimited bandwidth.

How do you get "unlimited bandwidth"?

my ISP does not really enforce any bandwidth cap... The only thing that they enforce is that they block port 80.....

SO! I went around port 80 and my whole operation is on port 81

I got RoadRunner BTW.

how on earth do they block port 80, thats http, you kinda need that.

Yes it is HTTP. But all inbound traffic to port 80 is blocked.

Please help here, what would be the cost of one of these linux boxes and how do I set it up? And does anyone know of a web host that I can just pay for with just cash?
