If you have XP, just make a new folder put your files in that folder, right click the file send to compressed zip folder. it will compress the files. now double click the file and when it opens click file and add a password, and add the password you want. You don't need any extra software to do this

i prefer winrar since you can compress the files, but it is not necessary. as for hiding it you could also be extra careful and put it in C:\windows heheh
then just make it a hidden archive, then rename it something to sound like a windows update or name it pagefilelet me show you how its done in vista less likely to get caught. but the above applies to xp. just remember to encrypt contents and put password.

here's my folder empty right?

How about:
Folder > Properties > Attributes > Hidden ?
Make sure your folder options are set to not display hidden folders.
Then when you want to access those files... enable display of hidden folders.

This won't work on someone who as an ounce of windows knowledge... but it will deter noobs.

i know i was just showing that if you show them they are considered 0byte folders and thus excluded from search. unless they click show 0byte folders then maybe
