ok I need a good distro with a good gui and is user friendly. Also does belkin have drivers 4 linux i need to use this on a wireless card.

No, no don't do it.

Get SuSE 9.3, Mandriva 10.1 or a live cd.

But since you want to use Linux instead of windows, I would suggest not getting live versions.

Here are the Mandrake 10.1 ISO's

http://www.linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=29

And SuSE 9.3:

Both are the full versions, but since they are downloads they lack some of the drivers that the come with in the pay versions. No problem, just download them.

I will tell you how to use ndiswrapper in Linux to get wireless cards to work once you get your distro installed.

ok but it is a usb wireless card.
I allready downloaded ubuntu but I will save that, anyways ok i pick mandrake it will take me about an hour and a half to download it.

Edit i thought it was one 600mb file like ubuntu ok this may take a while longer than expected:p

Linux: the kernel, communication layer, handles all devices and such
KDE/Gnome: Desktop manager.. They are like the part of windows you interact with

try to download a good live cd: knoppix, ubuntu live, mepis, after running one of those, you'll know roughly how much tweaking you need to get your system purring :D
