Haha, I went into the help channel and they hooked me up.

Go into a random channel and type

irc.undernet.org
#techforums

And click on what you wrote.

open mIRC, close any windows that popup and type in /server us.undernet.org , click enter and then /join #techforums. to change your nick type /nick yournickname. it is that simple!

tried it many times...

I have never been able to get irc to work on my computer

although I have done it on others..

well i meant to add that if you have a firewall and/or router, you must open ports 6660-6667.

hmmm.... I don't use a firewall, but when I last tried it, I was getting internet through a router...

Yeah...and that's probably what didn't let IRC go!
