Norton, macafee or who?

AVG is the best of the free ones, definitely. For the paid full suites (which I prefer) Zone Alarm or Panda are both very good and can be found cheap, round $20 for the whole thing if there's a sale.

Can't stand Norton or Mcaffee, first thing I do with a new computer is uninstall them.

Used the free version of AVG for years and found it very good. Having since become a working person I've upgraded to the paid version which is excellent. I wouldn't recommend anything else.
