No sound...

MB - ASUS CROSSHAIR III
Sound Card - SupremeFX X-Fi
OS - Windows 7
Sound card to receiver connection type - Toslink S/PDIF cable

I've tried many things, but can't seem to get any sound when I have my sound card connected to my surround sound receiver. It's no fun playing WoW on my new 47 inch HDTV with no sound ! I'm pretty sure this is a software issue, and not a hardware issue. I've got my blu-ray player, Xbox 360, and satellite receiver all connected to my surround receiver, and they all produce sound. My sound card produces sound through my standard PC speakers and headphones just fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

check to see if there are any updates to the sound card that you have. The cable could be messed up or the input on the reciever could be messed up for just this input. all though those are both unlikely.

has to be a driver or hardware problem as ^ said.

Do you have the sound card configured to operate with the TOSLink interface? Do you have it set to use Digital Output?
