I just built a new rig not to long ago decided to install xp on their today. Everyhting was working fine and I uprgarded to service pack 3 and so on but there was no audio coming out of my speakers. In device manager it says theirs nothing wrong with the drivers and when I open up realtek to adjust the volume etc it still makes no difference.

Does anybody know what the problem is because im sick of trying to unistall drivers to see it that fixes the problem but it does not. Thanks to anyone who can help.

You could try right-clicking and doing 'Update driver...' anyway, might help.

Other than that I assume you have all other drivers installed, i.e. chipset?

Did you connect the correct F_Panel pins? If you are hooking the audio up to your front panel, and your onboard only supports HD Audio (as apposed to AC'## or whatever) you better make sure you put the right connector there.

Also, are you sure the speakers are working correctly? Try using the front/back ports and using headphones to see if you get any sound at any point.
