No internet connection on2wire wireless router

Wjen I try to connect I get message. The sites security

Certificate is not trusted. The green light on. Bottom of router is not lit. I don't know much ab out computers. So any help will be appreciated

Did you have connection before you connected the router to the modem? Have you read the manual to see what this message means? Usually if the router is not lit, that means it is not operational.
