nfs underground 1 problem

i have a problem with nfs under ground 1 in my pc.when advancing to the 92nd race which is a sprint mode during loading it suddenly exits to the desktop.i tried many times but its still the same.my config is amd 2600 xp,256 mb ram,geforce fx 5500,asus x series motherboard.help me plz
