nfs hot pursuit seems laggy

hi guys, is it just me or when i play need for speed it seems really laggy and im running it on low settings aswell eg 1024x800 its not my gfx card as i can up that to 1690x1024 and graphics are as smooth as anything but the gamplay is laggy ie if theres too many things happening on screen ie too many cops cars or racers its jitters

What's your specs?

If they're the one's in your sig your resolution is a little high just because it can go that high doesn't mean it will perform that high and the CPU isn't the best for gaming.
