Need serious help

Ok, i have no clue what I have, whatever it is, I've had it for a while as it only causes problems every so often but when it does it takes me FOREVER to properly reboot my comp.

The problem is that google basically doesn't work. I can use it, but if I DIRECTLY clink on any hyperlink after searching google, it takes me to something unrelated, usually trying to sell me something, on top of this i have noticed slower net speed and other problems.


I've been using the spyware removal guide up to the point of smitfraud.
I cannot get smitfraud to run.


I can't access the spyware bot forums as well, whatever I have apparently blocks me from going there.


I don't know if a HJT log is warranted at this point but here it is.

Any help is seriously and deeply appreciated.

Have you gone through the guide or just posted a HiJack Log? The guide can be found in Osiris's Signature or mine.
 
Yeah, I said I followed the guide as far as I could, and after I got to the smitfraud part, I couldn't get that program to run, or the other part after that.. So I figure I'd just post and ask what to do specifically.
 
What does Google redirect you to? Is it fake antivirus/anti-spyware programs and the like? Or just random crap? Sounds a little like Vundo...

I've found Spybot or Malwarebytes to be helpful in identifying what malware is specifically on a machine even if it can't remove it totally.

Did you run Smitfraud in Safe Mode like suggested in the guide?

Its just random crap, I've had Vundo or whatever the one with the fake antispyware is... That one was easy to get rid off cause I could still access spybot forums, which I'm honestly more comfortable in (not insulting this forum of course, but i've always just gone to spybot forums in previous cases of infection and gone from there)
Either way, this one seems/feels differentthan Vuno.. it seems to be random.. I mean the one I have right now seems to be random crap..

And plus Im just crashing constantly.. it takes a while to get a proper reboot.. there is always some kind of glitch, and I have to manually turn off the power and reboot several times before I can properly start windows.

It psuedo tries to boot up, like my background wallpaper launches, but the desktop icons never looad.. it just kinda freezes..

Im starting to get really nervous here.. honestly I wouldn't mind just reformatting my harddrive and starting over from scratch, but I have a BOATLOAD of amassed ripped and d/led high quality albums and mp3 from over the past few years.. that I do not wish to part with..

Im thinking my best option might be just to get an external hd, transfer my music and videos and just reformat?
That would fix my problem while also saving my media right?

Im still open to fixing the problem... if anyone can help I'd love it!
