Basically, I have a wifi linksys router and its running modded firmware to boost xmit power, and its running as an access point, not a router....
Ive boosted the power from 28mw to 251mw...and no luck....still pretty weak....
Buying that 7dbi antenna set probably wont help much either...
If I add an identicle router with same firmware, same security settings, same channel and such, then would this perform network hopping seamlessly....
I dont know if anyone has tried this....but cities implementing citywide wifi seem to have a similar setup....
I have a central DHCP server assigning addresses.
And for successful hopping, i would probably need to have a static ip assigned to the mac addresses in my network....
Can anyone comment on this ?
