Moving a shared drive

I have a shared drive (folder ) on one of my servers.
I am moving (all the data) to another server.
What is the fastes way to do it (20G) and is there a way to copy that folder so that permitions/rights to this drive and all subfloders in this folder don't change and stay the same once coping finishes.

ha, the fastest way would prolly be to take out the hd, put it in the other server, and transfer the data. But you may not want to do this. Second fastest, would be to copy all the data to disk or tape. Third, transfer over network using fiber optic. Fourth, transfer over 100 Mbps ethernet.

im not sure about the permissions issue, i may get back to you on that one.
