XP SP3. First time I used Movie Maker 5.1 on my new hard drive and I added an audio and a picture file to storyline then it crashes. Movie Maker have some problem with SP3? I don't see Movie Maker anywhere in Control Panel->Add/Delete Programs (or Add/Delete MS Programs). Error code is 0xc0000005 Access Violation which could be lots of things including Registry. (There are some threads on web about SP3 and MM which says SP3 can't handle the # of "Video Transitions" in MM.) As for Movie Maker, you might need to download it off from Live under Windows Essential which I believe might be just what you're looking for. If this doesn't work, you could try the alternative software such as Avidemux or other various open source video editting softwares.
