I don't know if the numbers correlate directly but better refresh does equal better fps.

edit: actually, it might be the response time that matters...that makes more sense...
 
no, and from experience, I would have to say that you are gonna have to spend more than that to get a good quality monitor with you preferences
 
my lcd is like 60 hz i think and I get fps of over a hundred easily all the time
 
I don't like acer monitors. My acer laptop has some dead pixels and I heard from my friend that their monitors have a chance for dead pixels.

Most of the reviews I see on newegg say that they didn't receive any dead pixels, but that's just my opinion.
