That is quite possibly the best way of killing discs i have ever heard of.

I used to shatter them, then leave them on my window ledge. Magpies would take them to their nests and use them as vanity mirrors....

its not the CD you are paying for, its the license, they will probably be happy to send you another one for the cost of shipping and such

but like that guy said, if you download the game from [insert bittorrent tracker here] and use your cd key instead of the keygen it comes with you arent doing anything illegal.

If you crack the game it is illegal as it is editing the game in a way not designed.

The other day I had some old disks sitting upside down on top of my computer I wanted to destroy.

So naturaly I decided to do it my favorite way: Stick the disks in the microvave for 3 seconds and watch em burn. ( It looks really cool)

Well anyway, I grabbed one of the disks on my computer and threw it in the microwave and turned it on. (I smile and get excited...it sparks all up and I turn off the microwave)

I pull the disk out (still thinking: gee that was cool) Then I turn the disk over and realize its my brand new Call of Duty 2 DVD-Edition.

Not smiling any more.

You may wish to know that when you put a CD ini a microwave, it produces Cyanide Gas, i wouldnt put any food in there now!

I had no Idea! Ive only done this no more than 5 times. I didnt know it produces cyanide gasses. So Ive always continued to cook stuff in the microwave.

How worried do I need to be right now? How serious is this?

Obviously Im never cooking my old disks again. (Now I need to think of other creative ways to destroy them.... I like using them like throwing stars, and having disk fights with my friends.)
