I agree XGaia - i just saying if you are going for a specific certification classes are generally overpriced for what you get. You will not be learning anything other than how to pass a certification in a class specifically setup just for a certification.
A bachelors or associates however will teach you far more than what is required to pass the exam. You will learn the nuances, life skills and project management skills. If you have the chance, get an actual degree. If that's not an option certifications are a decent alternative - but as XGaia points out you will not learn all of the other skills required for a long term IT career.
