First off, hello, as this is my first post here.
I recently had to do a fresh install of my XP Media Edition Operating System. After it was completed, the on board audio doesn't work. I looked in the device manager and the Audio Codecs and the Legacy Audio Drivers all said 'Unknown' for Location under Properties. It won't let me delete and reinstall them either. I have tried updating the drivers, but they are all up to date. It seems like the computer just won't recognize the on board audio. By the way, the computer is pretty new.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Wes
