Media Sharing Solution?

I have all of my music on my one computer, but at times, I feel like listening to the music on my 4 other computers or on my iPad. Is there a way to "share" the music on the computer within my own network? Just to stream it I guess. The computer with the music is on 24/7. And I do have some Mac OSX computers on the network as well.

Windows Media Player can share its library out through the network

Set up the folder or drive that the music is located on to be shared across the network, and give whatever permissions you see fit. I did this with my music/movie hard drives.
