LAN configuration

Hi Friends,

I am Aric from Shenzhen, China. I have some questions regarding LAN & Networking. Can anybody help me?

In my office I have 12 computer all are working on Windows XP SP2. Now there is a computer which has some problem so I want to format only it's C: drive. Now the problem is that I dont know Neworking? How to configure network on the computer, how to get connected that computer with other computers and with server.

Can anybody tell me the simple steps to configure network on that computer.

more than likely xp should be able to auto configure itself to connect to the network. if you can't contact your network admin, i suggest going to ocntrol panel | network connections, right click lan connection, click properties, doule click tcp/ip. If its set to auto assign its addresses, then you prolly won't need to setup the network after you reinstall windows. But if there's addresses listed, copy them down and set them back up after you reinstall.
