Ok, bare with me. I dug out an old 20GB ipod which has a lovely grey screen 
Anyway when I need to format it. Problem is I don't think vista likes it and won't format it and I-tunes dons't seem to read it and when it does and I choose to restore it it says it can to it cos some files were in use and it couldnt complete the restore.
Now I swear there is an apple program designed specifically for restoring (no not itunes) could be wrong however, im hoping this is a software failure cos it would be fun to mess around with the thing.
Any suggestions?
