internet woes

hi guys, i have recently started having trouble with my internet connection. all of a sudden the internet has stopped working, when the modem is connected one light is green and the other is orange on the lan controller... could anybody tell me what that means?

i am using the lan controller on my Abit NF7 MoBo, windows XP home and a Speedtouch 530 DSL modem.

Those days a lot of porblems like, internet, modem, Browser and you name it - coming from SpyApps, which push some DLL files into
c:\thewindows or <-\system32 etc...

Those dll, or dialmenow.exe-s are the answers of many questions.

Do you have spyRemover
Try SpyBot at the moment them DataBase is 15000 spy/apps.
Or Run HiJackThis and post the LOG here. TA

can you ping your nic (127.0.0.1)
what have you done since the last time it worked?

more info, atleast you know you NIC has power, and isnt dead. Has anyone made any changes to your system recently, is this a home or office computer? should check your network properties and make sure the right network connections is enabled, usually called Local Area Network
