Internet problem - skype & thunderbird cant connect

Hi, i have trouble connecting with thunderbird and skype.
Downloading and browsing is no problem, connecting to steam works also.

I have migrated the thunderbird settings from another computer and despite the exact same settings it can't connect.
I use Zonealarm as firewall and avast antivir, but i have both on my old pc (same network) as well and it works there. I tried switched them off, but it didnt change anything.

1. Mozilla doesn't support Thunderbird anymore, so don't expect any help there.
2. What's not working about "connecting to" Skype? Be a little bit more specific.

2 - i enter my login data, click on login and then it tries to login for a couple of minutes and finally displays "can't connect".
1 - just because they stopped support doesnt mean it's broken beyond use, and since the same settings work on my "old" PC (same Win7, same versions and all) i don't think its necessarily a fault of thunderbird. That's why i'm asking if an external problem could be the cause

I would suggest completely re-installing both pieces of software.
You could try it on the computer that you tried copying Thunderbird over to as a test-dummy.
See if a reinstalling alleviates the problems.
