Intel(R) HD Graphics

I bought a computer a while ago, which came with a 5450 1gb gpu, but yet its not showing up. or working. instead, in speccy, and windows, it says Intel(R) HD Graphics. So i figured it was the drivers, installed latest drivers, still nothing. This sucks, because this Intel(R) HD Graphics thing is slow and is holding me back. i can not see my graphics card in device manager or dxdiag either. Any solutions?

Look in the BIOS, and check whether it's set to use the integrated graphics, or the PCI-E graphics. I don't have your BIOS so I can't say where the option is, specifically.

Is your video cable connected to the video card or the motherboard's output?

i realized this when i opened it up to see if it was loose, and plugged it into my graphics card output. thanks
