installing 64 bit windows 7

I have got a prblm. I have a pentium 4 ht processor with 1.5 gb ram and I m currently using windows 8.1 enterprise 32 bit in it. I have a setup of windows 7 ULTIMATE both 32 bit and 64 bit in it. since my processor is
64 bit capable iwant to install windows 7 64 bit in it .
I dont know how to do dat.

You have the bare minimum for 32bit. 64 needs 2 gigs of ram. But with windows, the more the merrier. It's going to be really slow.

Run the installer and choose to install 64bit Win7.

It depends on your P4, some P4's were single core and 32bit only while others almost emulated dual cores and could run 64bit.
You could try to edit your bios and see if hyperthreading is availible

I have a single core processor with ht enabled.

AFAIK, only the Extreme Editions of the P4 could handle 64bit software.

The P4 that I had in my old server ran Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 just fine - was a P4 w/ HT, non-extreme.

Well it was one of those YMMV things

Believe it was anything Prescott and after were 64bit compatible, as I know Prescott implemented 64bit. Don't think previous families supported it.
