I was browsing the internet when a window came up asking me to install a "windows xp virus checker". There was only one button on this window which was "agree and install". I tried to exit it but eventually had to end it in the task manager by ending its process.
I then got all sorts of errors from mcafee and my desktop turned blue with the writing "Warning! Spyware detected on your computer, install an antivirus or spyware remover to clean your computer." I treid to change it back to normal but the "properties" menu had only the themes, appearence and settings tabs. I then decided to restart my computer however it has been very slow and often gets to a certain point in startup and stops completly. Also when i use the internet now i keep getting redirected to a web page advertising anti virus software.
A suspect file is called svchost.exe. I believe this is the main problem however i cannot delete it.
This is a major issue and urgent help is needed. Please Help!
