I am using Macbook pro OS X, its been more than a year and I never had any problems with it. But then yesterday when I came back home after a week of vacation I found the machine to be throwing panic error messages as pasted below. The machine wasn't shut down when I was out of town for a week. Not sure why its happening. Please help me to resolve this problem. I have already tried rebooting the machine in safe mode & in normal mode, but still its not working. The error message is as follows:

==========================
panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff8000648e1b): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1699.24.8/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1504"

Tried clearing your PRAM? Hold down Option + Command + P + R before turning the mac on, keep holding them until the mac makes the startup chime again (twice in total).
Apart from that, if you still have the install cd then boot off it and reinstall over the top of your hdd. Your data won't be changed, the OS will just be repaired.
