No sure where this belongs.. I think it's a HW topic..

I'm running a single 4870 1g @ 1680x1050..

I was thinking of going to a dual 4870 by the end of the year.. How do I find what FPS I am running right now?

every game can be a bit different but for example in crysis:

Open the console. (open with ~)

type
r_DisplayInfo = 1
in the console

moved to pc gaming for you.

Or you could download something like fraps. I heard there's a similar program out which runs heaps better, can't remember the name of it though.

For nvidia cards you can use EVGA Precision. Tells you the fps of the DirectX window. Its accurate.

Rivatuner lets you record a graph that shows your fps. Not sure if it has a game display but the graph is nice for seeing your fps after you play.

If you have Xfire, hit Scroll Lock E and Hit show FPS Overlay and whatnot... move it where ever you want it and hit the pushpin so it stays :D

What would I type in, in COD W@W?? All it showed under r_Display was Refresh rate @ 60hz.

oh ok.. just typed in FPS.. I'm just idling in the main Multiplayer menu. Is this any deccent? Card is at 33*c, CPU is at 39*c. And I just put a fan over my GFX card pointed at my NB and the bottom of my MOS.
SV_FPS 20
MAXFPS_85
RagdolFX_FPS 20
FlameFX_FPS 20

What do I use under Rivatuner for the FPS graph? I can't find it..
