I'm planning on building my own computer. This is the first time I will be attempting this. Here are all of the parts that I'm looking at.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103539 - Processor $222
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131569 - Mobo $92
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129155 - Case w/ PSU $100
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440 - RAM $76
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822135106 - Hard Drive $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16821103116 - Floppy $10
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827101131 - CD-ROM Drive $22
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102465 - Graphics Card $187
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826104178 - Mouse $36
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16823126135 - Keyboard $20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836121109 - Speakers $20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824160144 - Monitor $90
Total = $930
My main questions about this:
*Will this be able to play HL2, Quake4, and FEAR?
*Can all of these parts work together without problems?
*Will the Radeon graphics card work with the Mobo, which has an nVidia chipset on it?
*Is there some way to keep this same amount of power, or increase the power without increasing the price?
*Is the powersupply decent enough?
*Is the case decent enough?
*Will I need any more cooling devices? (which I'm awear will bring the price up)
I hope you guys can answer these questions. I've looked into these things myself, and see no reason why this shouldn't work. But just incase I've overlooked something, I'm asking you. Remember, I don't want the price to go up.
