Thanks for the quick response. That log checker came up with all green check marks.

The problem I'm having is certain programs crashing upon starting them, as well as SuperAnti-Spyware detecting multiple infections every day... Can't figure out the source of this.

Open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc/scannow press enter and let it scan, if errors are found you may need to scan again until clear.

Malwarebytes came back with nothing, CCLeaner cleaned about 80MB worth of temp internet files.

When i ran sfc/scannow, I received a "Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files" message.

So I'm going to pop in the XP CD and repair the files. Anything else I should try at this point?

I ran through that process twice, restarted, and I am still having problems with programs crashing/freezing. SuperAnti-Spyware is also consistently finding malicious items in cookies.

Btw my setup is a dell desktop with a celeron processor, with XP Home.

If it was my PC i would disable system restore, then re-enable, this will clean the restore file system, if anything is corrupt or corrupting the file system, it will be gone, but, only do this if you are happy to loose all your restore points.

Can you confirm that you have all the Windows updates and service packs installed.

What Anti-Virus software do you have installed ?.
Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials, its free, and will pick up a lot of malware that other free AV miss.
Only have one AV installed at a time.
Give the whole system a scan after updating MSE

Can you tell me what programs are crashing, there may be a clue there.
Also, go to Event Viewer and look to see if there are any error numbers that correspond to the programs crashing.

If we can get your system clean, and staying clean, then we can concentrate on the crashing programs.
