Hibernate or Turn Off?

I always turn my PC off when it's not in use. But I live in the Lightning Strike Capitol of the USA.

I only unplug it when we get a storm.... otherwise sleep is just fine for me.

I will probably use hibernate during the week and use shut down once on the weekend. Thanks for the advice guys. I also unplug everything during a storm.

I mostly use hibernate but sometimes the pc gets laggy so I shut it down from time to time.
So hibernate?
