can anyone help me? my computer has died, as i'm not a computer freak i need serious help, when i start my computer it all goes well untill windows xp starts then i get a blue screen that says run chkdsk/f ,can someone tell me how to do this as i cannot get passed this screen

Sounds like a HardDrive failure, bad sectors, or corrupt files within your start-up, try letting check disk run, see if it can repair the sectors, if not i would strongly suggest getting a new hard drive, if you find that to eb the problem of course

how do you do that,run check disk as I cannot get out of this screen can I do this through set up screen when I first turn on my computer because that is the only place that works right
