Help, using ipod touch as wireless adapter.

I have been trying to find out how to accomplish this for about a year now and I havnt got it down, I have tryed pdanet but it says connected but their no internet connection and it shows up as a modem in network connections, I have tryed iphone tunnel suite but it just didnt work and was to confusing, so if you know how to do this or any advice please do tell. I really want to find this out so please help. I am running windows 7. Thanks.
