Ok, well the other day my chemistry teacher asked me if I thought his TV would be able to have HD channels on their through his satellite. He said it's either HD-Compatible or HD-Ready (he can't remmember for sure). I did a little looking, and I'm not sure about it still, however. So, I was wondering: Do HD-Compatible or HD-Ready TV's have an HD tuner built in? Or are you going to have to buy a separate HD Tuner box (sort of like the old cable-converter boxes that you used to have on TV's that didn't have a cable input on them...yes I do remember those =P). If he's going to have to get a separate HD Tuner, can anybody reccomend me a good one to show him, that's not very pricey? I don't think he wants to spend over $200, because I showed him a Samsung (that was around $150) one the other day, and this was his comment: "It's a $150? Ok, well once I figure out how to make meth in my basement I'll think about gettin it." xD
