Yeah similar things happen to me quite a lot. Not so much Linux oriented, more 'that-latest-adobe-program' or 'I-got-this-network-problem' kinda thing.
I hear people discussing stuff like that a lot on the train to and from work, makes the trip less boring to jump onboard and have a nice tech discussion
