I'm thinking about purchasing a Maxtor 200GB internal hard drive.
Here are the specs:
Drive Capacity 200GB
Internal or External Internal
Interface ATA/133
Rotation Speed 7200 RPM
Compatibility PC
Manufacturer Maxtor
Manufacturer Model L01P200
Cache Buffer Size 8MB
Data Transfer Rate ATA/133
Average Seek Time 9.4ms
I am planning to use it with my laptop, which means I will have to get a hard drive enclosure if I want to do this. (This is a cheaper alternative than to actually buy an external hard drive)...
Does it matter that this hard drive is Ultra ATA rather than SATA? I heard SATA transfer speeds start at around 150mbps while Ultra ATA is around 33. Should it matter since it will be hooked up to the laptop with a USB 2.0 cable?
Let me know, thanks
