Good website ideas?

Hey everyone, sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but...

I want to show off my uber awsome coding skills, lol and want to build a website. Anyone have any ideas for a good website that will get people to come and view it?

Coding is all well and good, but 3/4ths of website design is the design of the actual website, the other fourth is coding it.
