cheerio old man, i wasnt carelessly throwing out statements when i made my comment, i just know what i am talking about. here ya go, the intel guys can probably change some of this stuff and keep the price the same. i use amd, so i kinda did this quick in response to your challenge:
total 1047.81, plus shipping. even includes the printer. and i used good parts all around, not a crappy one in there.

p.s. if you were not going to overclock the best buy system, but overclock the system that i would build....then yes, you could do waaaaay better for under 1000.00. this rig is meant to perform on par with the best buy rig at stock speeds (which it will, if not even better). if you overclock it, you may need to add an aftermarket hsf, depending on your temps.
