Ftp - Uploading Your hosted video's/music/images to html

I need a code that allows others too use my ftp... i have used

FTP://User:Password@ipaddress:port/directory of file/.file
Can anybody plz help me and tell me why this code is not working when i place the code in html... it works for me.. juss not others

im guessing because i am the one hosting the file......
its my ftp afterall... i have asked my other friends online if they can hear the music... but it fails everytime

you behind a router? did you implement port forwarding? are you using the global ip address?

Yes i have a hardware firewall, and but i have set the dmz and disabled the firewall.... i shouldnt need to port forward.
Not sure wat u mean by Global ip address?

you should use iis to build a html,ftp just allow your friends to download something..

im actually trying to upload to a personal profile website ( myspace) ... i add the code in text box's that support html code
