Well, thank you for the info, but too bad I haven't still got to know what happened to the maintenance of freespire. Do you think that if I get the apt-get settings switched to ubuntu (as freespire also derives from it) then i can upgrade programs? What also you can tell me about this CNR that they use to handle the packages? what other distribution uses it?
