Folder Structure? Home Folder, Dept Folder

I prolly have a bad folder structure here so i wanted to ask what other people are doing for this. In my home folder the main folders i use are purchases, scripts, scans, software, work items

our dept folder has procedures, company settings, inventory reports, ftp downloads, warranties, website backups. ...among other misc that should be re-org'd

Tough to say - depends on the company. Our home folder is essentially the my documents from the standard installation of windows, plus any folders that the user creates.
