DVD player woes

I have a number of Homemade DVDs that will not play on most players. I have a cheap magnavox player that I got from Walmart that seems to play them all. Another cheap Magnavox that I got from Walmart doesn't play the same DVDs. These two players are identical except for one number of the model. Can anyone direct me to a player that will play these DVDs without fail. The players that fail usually do so toward the middle to end of the movies. It seems like a formatting problem and would love to solve it. Thanks.

alot of the "no-name" dvd players will play anything you throw at them, while Sony only plays DVD and CD, thats it.

I recommend any cheapo dvd player you cant find at Wal-Mart, but if you want quality, i recommend a Sanyo DVD Player, because they are reliable.
