DSL with PS2

I just got DSL it is hooked up i can surf the internet. im tryon to hook up to play madden 05 with the dsl and it gets to authenticate DNAS data and just sits there. no error or nothing. my dsl modem is a speedstream 5200 modem/router. any ideas?

Try and set the ip address from the PS2 outside of the router's firewall and give it another shot.

how? i looked and it says the firewall is off

Well, you are still most likely using NAT. Can you setup an IP in a DMZ? If so, setup the PS2 in the DMZ.
