Disable Windows Messenger
1. Start, click Run, type GPEDIT.MSC
2. Expand the following:
a. Local Computer Policy
b. Computer Configuration
c. Administrative Templates
d. Windows Components
e. Windows Messenger
3. Change the option “Do not allow Windows Messenger to run” to Enabled.
4. Click OK
5. Change the option “Do not automatically start Windows Messenger initially” to Enabled
6. Click OK
7. Close the window
Now that it done, go ahead and remove it.
Remove Windows Messenger
1. Add or Remove Programs
2. Select Add/Remove Windows Components
3. Uncheck Windows Messenger
4. Click Next
5. Click Finish

Remove Windows Messenger
1. Add or Remove Programs
2. Select Add/Remove Windows Components
3. Uncheck Windows Messenger
4. Click Next
5. Click Finish
