Different Version Chaos

Im getting pretty ****ed. I Made a back up copy of an ODF File for a specific Ship in the Game I play, Star Trek Armada 2. I then edited the file, Changed some values, Decided not to do it, then replaced the File with the orginal. I then Am unable to play any games because GSA and A2 detect I have a different version of the game. Which I shouldn't cause I replaced the file with the Orginal.

So I Uninstall the game, Reinstall, Reinstall Patch and Still shows different version,

I Do it again, Restart, Install patch, Still different verison.

How is this possible a Total uninstall and then reinstall should completly Fix any problem with a game.

Any Suggestions? Before I Uninstall and Reinstall for the 3rd time..
