Anthony, you should consider getting Windows XP instead of Vista. If the computer is retail and already comes with Vista installed, I can give you information on how to upgrade/downgrade to Windows XP.
Isn't the 2600xt~8600gt? If so I think he could run it at mostly high because once I had a faster cpu and 2gb ram I was able to run mostly high with 1200x900, on my x1800xl which is about as powerful as a 8600gt. FPS in the 20's but in Crysis thats not to bad.
