Coverting basic(simple) to dynamic volume

Hi: I have both Acronis 11 and Norton Ghost 9. I have recently installed a new Western Digital 1 TB HD and want to clone all my files to the 1 TB drive from 3 other samller drives and make it bootable for XP. Here is the catch. Acronis will not recognize the drive for copy because XP SP3 will only let me create a simple partition for this 1 TB drive (set for RAID only). I cannot get XP to let me convert the volume to dynamic and, as such, neither Norton nor Acronis will allow me to copy wil the drive in it's current state. Is it an issue with the size of the dirve for XP? In "Disk Management" if I right click on the 1 TB drive I get no conversion option. Thanks!

why do you have it in raid when it's only one disc?
