couple of questions

kay some about to reformat my compy, yet i have some obsticles. i have files that i need to save, but i don't have money for online storage, i don't have an extra hard drive, to much to burn to cd's. all in all it's about 10 gigs of info i still need.

i had the idea of transfer the files i still want to my dad's computer via our lan connection.

how fast will this be, and how do i go about doing this?

You have to create a network and then share both drives or 1 folder in the drive. Do this by right clicking on the folder/drive and then going to properties > Sharing and adjust the settings corectly.

this will enable you to simply copy and paste the files into the other drive.

OPH and it should be very fast 10 gigs would only take about 30 minutes to 1 hour, Lan is alot faster since it is local.
