Copying Movie of Computer onto Disk

Ok well I have a movie on my computer that i want to copy onto a disk. The blank disk I put in (Memorex CD-R) didn't work. The message said that it wans't the right format or something.

What kind of disk should I buy to copy the DVD of teh computer onto the disk? Or is there someway I can format the disk right?

The message said:

Sorry, your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disc. Please insert a disc of the correct type or modify the setting of your compilation to make them compatible with the current disc.

i assume the movie is in xvid or divx format and have the .avi extension, right? you need to burn it as data

if its a .avi and u want to burn it to dvd...i would recomend a program called

DivxToDVD

It depends what you want to use the file for. Just transfering it? Or you want to play it on a dvd player?

If you have a DVD burner just get nero 6.6 demo and burn it there (to a DVD not a CD).
